SAM LOMPREZ: THE HENS NO LONGER LAY

The Hens No Longer Lay is a non-linear story that combines the notion of cause and effect, how the outside reacts to the inside, the reaction of an organic body or frame influenced through a territory, or how the territory itself is influenced by the presence of a species. I try to interrogate objects and domesticated spaces, fragments that try to escape in an outlandish wide environment. Environments which gather some kind of casual havens or temporary refuge, which evolves according to the place it holds and by the nexus it etablishes with others, but which seems to be both captured and inscribed in a frozen time. A body that invades, who protects, or who oppresses, but also a body who is invaded, protected or oppressed; or of a closed or circular environment which performs for / with each other.

I'm Sam, a french student living and studying in Brussel (Belgique) at the ERG (École de Recherche graphique - ESA St Luc). I'm in the photography section but it's a multidisciplinary school, so I also learn subjects such as graphisme and videography. I am currently starting my second year of master degree at ERG.
